Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 15 June 2025 | Effective Date: 15 June 2025
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of Tensorhaus's website and your enrolment in any of our course programmes. Please read them before submitting an enquiry or enrolling. By enrolling you confirm that you have read and accept these terms.
1. Definitions
- "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions, together with any enrolment confirmation we send you.
- "Tensorhaus", "we", "us", "our" means the operator of the Tensorhaus online school, registered in Malaysia.
- "User", "you", "your" means any person who accesses our website or enrols in a course.
- "Course" means any of the structured learning programmes we offer, including the Foundations of Machine Learning, Applied Deep Learning Track, and Mentored Capstone and Portfolio Programme.
- "Course Materials" means exercises, recorded content, slides, code repositories, forum posts by our team, and feedback provided by tutors or mentors.
- "Completion Record" means the written document we issue on successful completion of a Course, describing the topics covered, assessed work completed, and hours committed.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry form, paying a course fee, or participating in a Course, you confirm that you:
- are at least 18 years of age;
- have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Malaysian law;
- have read and accept this Agreement in full.
If you do not accept these terms, do not submit an enquiry or proceed with enrolment.
3. Service Description
Tensorhaus operates as an online school offering structured AI and machine learning courses primarily to learners in Malaysia. Courses are delivered via live online sessions, asynchronous coursework, tutor code review, and — in the Capstone programme — individual mentoring.
We reserve the right to update course content, reschedule sessions within a reasonable window, and adjust the delivery format where necessary. Material changes that significantly affect the nature of a course will be communicated to enrolled learners by email.
4. Enrolment and Account Access
Enrolment is confirmed when we send a written enrolment confirmation by email. Until that confirmation is sent, no place in a cohort is reserved.
Each enrolment is for one individual learner. Sharing login credentials, course materials, or cohort forum access with third parties is not permitted. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials we provide and for all activity that occurs under your access.
We may suspend access where a learner's conduct is disruptive to other cohort members or contrary to these terms.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- engage with the course material honestly and submit your own work for assessment;
- participate in live sessions and the cohort forum in a respectful manner;
- not reproduce, distribute, or publish Course Materials without our written permission;
- not attempt to access course systems beyond your enrolled scope;
- notify us promptly if you become aware of unauthorised use of your access credentials.
Submitting work that is not your own, misrepresenting your identity, or disrupting the learning environment of other cohort members may result in removal from the course without a refund.
6. Intellectual Property
All Course Materials, curricula, exercises, code examples, and written content produced by Tensorhaus remain our intellectual property. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use these materials for the purpose of completing the Course you have enrolled in.
You may not reproduce, share, sell, or republish Course Materials in any form without our prior written consent.
Work you produce as part of course exercises and the Capstone project remains yours. By submitting it for assessment you grant us a limited licence to review and comment on it for tutor and mentoring purposes.
7. Payment Terms
Course fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are as follows at the time of this publication:
- Foundations of Machine Learning: RM 480
- Applied Deep Learning Track: RM 2,400
- Mentored Capstone and Portfolio Programme: RM 4,180
Payment is due before the cohort start date. A place is not confirmed until payment is received and an enrolment confirmation has been issued. We accept bank transfer and online payment methods specified in the enrolment correspondence.
Withdrawal and refund
If you withdraw before the first session of a cohort, a full refund will be issued less any payment processing fees. If you withdraw during the first week, a 50% refund of the course fee will be issued. No refund is available after the first week of a cohort. Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
If Tensorhaus cancels a cohort before it begins, enrolled learners will receive a full refund of the course fee paid.
8. Course-Specific Terms
Attendance and participation
Live sessions are scheduled in advance. We do not offer individual make-up sessions for missed live sessions, though recordings are made available where technically possible. Consistent non-attendance that affects the quality of cohort interactions may result in us declining to issue a Completion Record.
Assessment submission
Graded exercises have published submission deadlines. Late submissions may receive feedback at reduced priority. A Completion Record is issued only on satisfactory completion of all assessed components of the Course.
Completion Records
A Completion Record is a written document, not an academic qualification or accredited credential. It describes the course content, the assessed work completed, and the hours committed. It does not confer any professional licence or certification.
Capstone programme
The Capstone project scope is agreed between the learner and their assigned mentor at the start of the programme. Significant scope changes requested mid-programme will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and may not be accommodated within the original programme duration.
9. Disclaimers
Courses are provided for educational and informational purposes. We make no representation that completion of a Course will result in employment, career advancement, or any specific professional outcome.
Course Materials reflect the knowledge and experience of our instructors and are not a substitute for professional engineering advice in any specific project context. The field of AI changes rapidly; while we update materials regularly, we do not warrant that all content reflects the most current developments at all times.
Our website and course delivery platforms are provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free access.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Tensorhaus's total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Course giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental losses, including loss of income, data, or business opportunity, whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such losses.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tensorhaus and its instructors, mentors, and staff from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of Course Materials, or your conduct in the cohort environment.
12. Termination
Either party may end the enrolment agreement. If you withdraw, the refund terms in section 7 apply. We may terminate your access if you breach these terms materially, with written notice by email. Where termination is for your breach, no refund is due.
Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of Liability), and 13 (Dispute Resolution) survive termination of this Agreement.
13. Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Before commencing formal proceedings, either party may request an informal resolution meeting. We will respond to a written resolution request within 14 calendar days. If the matter cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue formal legal or mediation proceedings.
The Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Malaysia) and the Contracts Act 1950 apply where relevant to consumer transactions.
14. General Provisions
Entire agreement: This Agreement, together with the enrolment confirmation, constitutes the full agreement between you and Tensorhaus in relation to course enrolment and supersedes any prior communications on the same subject.
Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this Agreement to another person. We may assign our rights in connection with a business transfer, provided your enrolment rights are not materially affected.
Notices: Formal notices under this Agreement must be sent by email to the addresses provided in section 16 and are effective on receipt.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to enrolled learners at least 14 days before the change takes effect. For learners not yet enrolled, the version in force at the time of enrolment applies. Continued participation in a Course after the effective date of a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
